The Los Angeles kicker, Michael Badgley, entered the blacklist for failing the first field goal in Mexican territory, in the game between Kansas City Chiefs and Chargers, the fourth regular season game of the NFL played at Azteca Stadium.

Badgley missed a 40-yard attempt, the first during an official game and that has not been preseason.

According to international media information, all the kickers had had certainty in their kicks, because on October 2, 2005, in the duel between Arizona and 49's in San Francisco, Neil Rackers made his six kick attempts effective for the triumph of Cardinals by 31-14.

In addition, on November 21, 2017 in the 27-20 Raiders victory, Sebastian Janikowski of Oakland connected his 19 and 20-yard field goals, coupled with the successful 27-yard Nick Novak kick by Houston Texans.

While in the last official confrontation that had occurred on "Aztec" soil, on November 19, 2017, Stephen Gostkowski made four field goals, 62, 51, 40 and 29 yards, with which his team, Patriots of New England, won 33-7 to Oakland.

So far, no extra point in Mexico has been failed in official matches.
