The people of Madrid can enjoy another year of the Christmas lights aboard the Naviluz. These tourist buses will be in circulation as of November 29, a week after the traditional lighting of the lights, as reported by municipal sources at 20 minutes.

As every year about 15 cars They will tour the city center, only on this occasion the service will not be provided by the Municipal Transport Company (EMT) but the private company UTE that is responsible for the City Tour. According to the municipal sources, "the decision not to reuse the double-decker buses of the EMT is framed within the environmental policy that this municipal government will carry out through Madrid 360 "since" those 15 EMT buses emit approximately the same polluting emissions as a hundred cars with no environmental mark or 3,000 ECO vehicles, "they detail.

The bus will have a single tour, similar to the previous year, which will start from the Plaza de Colón, in front of the Discovery Gardens. From there, you will cross Serrano Street, the Plaza de la Independencia, and go down Alcalá Street to Plaza de Cibeles. Continue to Gran Vía, Reyes Street, Maestro Guerrero Street and San Leonardo Street to pass through the emblematic Plaza de España.

Naviluz will turn around to tour Gran Vía again, Alcalá Street, Cibeles Square, Alcalá Street and Independence Square where he will make a new turn to visit other lights. This will pass through Velázquez street, José Ortega y Gasset street, Serrano street until it ends at the intersection of Goya street.

The 100,000 tickets that went on sale last year sold out in just five days. Therefore, this year the City Council will try to "exceed the number of 2018 tickets", as reported by the Consistory. Ticket reservations can be made from next November 23 through the same digital platform offered last year by ALSA.

The Christmas lights have become an icon for the big cities, so these buses will be in service until Kings Day – except on December 24 and 31 and January 5 – and will travel the streets from Sunday to Wednesday (18 : 00 to 23:00) and Thursday to Saturday (18:00 to 0:00).
