RESULTS OF THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS 2019. Central Election Bureau announces that the current president, Klaus Iohannis, obtained 36.91% of the votes, Viorica Dăncilă was voted by 23.45% of the voters, and the candidate of the USR PLUS Alliance Dan Barna obtained 14.19% of the votes, according to the first partial official results presented at 11.00, after the centralization of 95.89% of the total number of sections.

Thus, Iohannis obtained 3,162,105 votes, Dăncilă 2,009,045, and Barna 1,215,765 votes.

The following are Mircea Diaconu (UN OM Alliance) – 9.17% (785,557 votes), Theodor Paleologu (PMP) – 5.69% (487,785 votes), Kelemen Hunor (UDMR) – 4.13% (353,578 votes), Ramona-Ioana Bruynseels (Humanist Power Party) – 2.70% (231,642 votes), Alexandru Cumpănaşu (independent) – 1.47% (126,019), Viorel Catarama (Liberal Right) – 0.54% (46,232 votes), Bogdan Stanoevici (independent) – 0.42% (36,383), Cătălin Ivan (Alternative for National Dignity) – 0.36% (31,192), Ninel Peia (Romanian People's Party) – 0.33% (28,486), Sebastian Popescu (Party New Romania) – 0.33% (28,251), John-Ion Banu (Romanian National Party) – 0.30% (25,747 votes).

Priestescu mentioned that, out of the total of 19,586 polling stations, the data from 18,781 were centralized, representing 95.89%.

The number of those who appeared at the polls is 8,704,144, representing 47.77% of the total number of voters registered in the permanent electoral lists.

The number of valid votes cast is 8,567,787, representing 98.44% of the total number of voters who appeared at the ballot box.

According to the BEC spokesman, the total number of null votes is 136,211, representing 1.56% of the total number of voters who appeared at the polls.

The attendance at the presidential elections was on Sunday, until 24.00, at 47.66% nationally, according to the website of the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC).

In the urban area, the attendance at the polls was 48.54%, and in the rural area – 46.49%. The total number of voters who appeared at the ballot box was 8,683,688, of which 5,057,364 – in the urban area and 3,626,324 – in the rural area.

A higher voter presence was registered in Ilfov (63.13%), Cluj (59.20%) and Sibiu (53.76%) counties. A lower presence at the polls was in Vaslui (35.47%), Covasna (37.02%) and Satu Mare (37.68%) counties.

In the capital, the attendance was 51.41% (923,209 voters), the situation by sectors being as follows: sector 1 – 59.60%, sector 2 – 52.56%, sector 3 – 44.36%, sector 4 – 52.89%, sector 5 – 47.20%, sector 6 – 56.47%.
