Twenty-two non-EU immigrants trying to cross the English Channel to reach Britain were intercepted on Sunday by the British authorities, the Interior Ministry in London said, quoted by Le Figaro as mediafax
The immigrants were traveling on a small boat and were transferred to Dover for interrogation by the British Immigration Service.
Authorities did not disclose the nationalities of immigrants.
As of the end of 2018, more and more non-EU countries are trying to cross the English Channel from France to the UK.
Two days ago, 20 immigrants were detected aboard two boats.
