The State Electoral Institute of Hidalgo (IEEH) launched the Call for the Local Electoral Process 2019-2020, addressed to political parties, common candidacies or coalitions registered with the General Council, to run candidates for the purpose of renewing town halls.
The ordinary election will be held on June 7 to elect the members of the 84 City Councils of the entity, by the principles of Relative Majority and Proportional Representation.
In a statement, the IEEH also mentions the Call for citizens interested in accrediting themselves as Electoral Observers for the Local Electoral Process 2019-2020.
The General Council also approved the agreement on the restricted use of the Nominal List only for the Electoral Day of the Local Electoral Process 2019-2020.
It is established that the INE will deliver the Final Nominal List of Voters with Photography to the IEEH, in May 2020, and they agreed "that the use of this document will be restricted only to the day on which the electoral day stage is verified," says the information.
After initiating the 2019-2020 electoral process, they created the Special Debates Commission, in charge of coordinating the realization of the meetings between the candidates to occupy the position of President or Municipal President.
