The EMT celebrates the sixth day of partial strikes as a prelude to the 24-hour strike on Friday

The EMT unions call on Wednesday a new day of partial strikes, which will feature some minimum services up to 50% and it will be the prelude to the 24-hour strike scheduled for next Friday, December 13, coinciding with the last day of the Climate Summit in Madrid.

These stoppages are planned for slots from 5.30 to 7.30 hours and of 5.30pm to 7.30pm, but they started already on Tuesday night in the time zone from 23 to 00 hours.

In previous calls the company committee of the EMT described the participation of these strikes as "massive" and complained to the City Council that negotiate a staff increase, along with guarantees that no service will be "privatized" in this legislature.

Meanwhile, from the Consistory they have claimed to the unions that the call for these mobilizations to sit down to negotiate and have described as "political" the strike undertaken by the works council.

The Madrid City Council has established minimum services of 40 and 50% for the planned stoppages at the Municipal Transport Company (EMT) this Wednesday. The municipal crane service will have minimum services of 30%, reported the municipal government in a statement.

Itineraries affected

The daytime lines of EMT whose itinerary does not matches the subway network they will work with 50% of their usual service and, in any case, with a minimum provision of two buses per line (except those that usually provide service with a bus, which will maintain this provision).

The itineraries included in this group are those corresponding to lines 6, 10, 11, 17, 23, 24, 25, 28, 34, 35, 41, 42, 48, 49, 50, 57, 60, 62, 63, 64, 65, 70, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 81, 82, 83, 85, 87, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 109, 111, 112, 114, 118, 119, 121, 123, 125, 130, 131, 132, 133, 134, 135, 137, 139, 140, 141, 144, 145, 151, 153, 155, 160, 161, 162, 165, 166, 171, 175, 177, 310, A, H, E3, E4, T11, T23, T31, T32, T41, T61, H1, M2, SE Cañada Real, SE Cañaveral, SE Caja Mágica and SE Wanda Metropolitano.

On the other hand, the concurrent daytime lines with the metro network will offer 40% of their usual endowment. In this case, a minimum endowment of two buses per line (except for those lines that usually serve with a bus, which will maintain this provision).

The itineraries included in this group are those corresponding to lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 58, 59, 61, 66, 67, 71, 72, 73, 74, 86, 100, 106, 107, 108, 110, 113, 115, 116, 120, 122, 124, 126, 127, 128, 129, 136, 138, 142, 143, 146, 147, 148, 149, 150, 152, 156, 172, 173, 174, 176, 178, 200, 210, 215, 247, C1, C2, E, F, G, U, E1, E2, T62, M1 and Express Airport.

On the other hand, the night buses (owls) began last night the strikes, between 23 hours and midnight, with a minimum of one vehicle for each of the 28 lines that make up the service, including the night service of the Express Airport line.
