On December 5, the social media operator's advertising library displayed nearly 180,000 classified ads as political in the UK, starting with October 2018. On Tuesday, however, their number dropped sharply by a third, to below 120,000 ads.
"We know that people can't access ads in the archive of ads and we work to fix the issue as soon as possible," said a Facebook spokesperson, quoted by the Financial Times.
Facebook representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Reuters.
