Tokyo Stock Exchange closes higher after positive employment data in the US


The Tokyo Stock Exchange closed on Monday with gains, after solid data on jobs registered in the United States in November, its highest rise in ten months.

The 225-share Nikkei, the main indicator of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, closed its operations today with a gain of 76.30 points (0.33 percent), to settle at 23 thousand 430.70 units.

Meanwhile, the First Section of the Price Index (Topix) gained 8.71 points and stood at 722.07 units, while the Second Section advanced 0.66 points and stood at seven thousand 210.36 units, the Japanese news agency Kyodo reported Monday.
