Singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran reached 12 times in the first place in the singles and albums charts between 2010 and 2019. At the same time, the British artist has remained at the top of both rankings for the last decade for the longest time – 79 weeks in total.
Sheeran became the third artist to receive the Official Charts Company award for setting such a record, after Justin Bieber, becoming the first artist in history to place simultaneously in the top three of the singles, and Paul McCartney rewarded for his albums due to which he placed 22 times in the first place in his career.
